Whatnot to StockX: List Your Unsold Deadstock Between Shows
Which Whatnot items belong on StockX, what StockX charges sellers by level, how FLUF Connect matches products and sizes, and how a sale on one side ends the listing on the other.
Sending stock from Whatnot to StockX makes sense for one kind of item: new, unworn, boxed product that has a page in the StockX catalogue. Sneakers, sealed collectibles and streetwear that did not go in a show can sit as an ask on StockX between streams, where buyers search by exact model and size. FLUF Connect places the ask from your Whatnot inventory and ends it if the item sells in a show first.
In short
- StockX’s Verified Marketplace takes new, unworn items only, and checks each one at a verification centre before it reaches the buyer.
- StockX charges sellers a 3% processing fee plus a transaction fee of 9% at Level 1, falling to 7% at Level 5, with a minimum fee of £4.50 or $5.
- FLUF matches each item to a StockX product and size. Where there is no match or more than one, you pick it before the ask goes live.
- A Whatnot sale ends the StockX ask. A StockX sale is not seen by FLUF, so you mark it sold and the Whatnot listing comes down.
Why the two fit together
Whatnot sells through attention. An item does well when you are live, the chat is busy and the price is moving. Between shows, most of your stock waits. StockX works the other way: there is no show, no chat and no description to write. Buyers go to the page for a product, pick a size and either pay the lowest ask or place a bid. That suits the pair of trainers you did not get to, or the sealed box that is worth more than your Whatnot audience will pay this week.
It does not suit everything Whatnot sellers carry. StockX’s verification rules cover “new, unworn items” on the Verified Marketplace, and an item that fails verification for being worn, the wrong size or missing its box is not sold. Raw cards, mystery boxes, used clothing and lots stay on Whatnot or go to a marketplace that takes them, such as eBay.
What StockX charges
StockX’s seller fees page sets two charges on the Verified Marketplace. There is a 3% payment processing fee, and a transaction fee on the final sale price that depends on your Seller Level:
| Seller Level | Sales needed per quarter | Transaction fee |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | None | 9% |
| Level 2 | 12 sales and $1,500 | 8.5% |
| Level 3 | 40 sales and $5,000 | 8% |
| Level 4 | 200 sales and $25,000 | 7.5% |
| Level 5 | 800 sales and $100,000 | 7% |
The minimum seller fee is £4.50 in Great Britain, €5 in the EU and $5 in the US. A new seller selling a $200 pair pays $18 in transaction fee and $6 in processing, so $24 in all.
Whatnot changed its own fees on 21 September 2026. Its seller fees page now sets commission by your sales over each four-week period and by category, plus payment processing of 2.9% + $0.30 in the US or 2.42% + £0.25 plus VAT in the UK, charged on the whole order. Your Whatnot rate card in Seller Hub shows your exact commission, which is the number to compare with StockX’s 9% to 7%.
How to send Whatnot items to StockX
- Connect Whatnot in FLUF Connect through the FLUF browser extension or the FLUF mobile app. Your Whatnot items appear in your FLUF inventory.
- Connect StockX from the Channels screen.
- Filter your inventory to Whatnot, select the new and boxed items, and choose StockX as the destination.
- FLUF looks for each item in the StockX catalogue. If it finds no match, or several close ones, choose the exact StockX product and size yourself.
- Set your ask price and publish.

Your Whatnot title, photos and description do not travel to StockX. A StockX listing is an ask on StockX’s own product page, with StockX’s photos and details, so what matters is that the product and size are right. A wrong size match is the mistake to avoid, because it is also a reason an item fails verification.
Keeping both channels in step
| What happens | Result |
|---|---|
| Item sells on Whatnot | FLUF picks up the sale and ends the StockX ask |
| Item sells on StockX | FLUF does not pick this up. Mark it sold in FLUF and the Whatnot listing comes down |
| You change the ask price in FLUF | The StockX ask is updated |
| Relisting and offers | Not available through FLUF on either channel |
The risk sits in the gap between a StockX sale and your next show. If a pair sells on StockX on Tuesday and you bring it out in a Wednesday stream, you have two buyers and one pair. Check StockX before each show and mark anything that sold.
Which items to send
- Send: deadstock sneakers in their original box, sealed collectibles with a StockX page, new streetwear with tags.
- Keep on Whatnot: anything worn or opened, lots and bundles, mystery items, and one-offs with no StockX product page.
- Think about price: look at the lowest ask and recent sales on the StockX page before you set yours, and remember that the fee comes off the sale price.
StockX also runs a Listings Marketplace for used and unique items and a StockX Live service, both open to selected sellers only. FLUF places asks on the Verified Marketplace only. For the opposite direction, see StockX to Whatnot, and for how the two compare as places to sell, StockX vs Whatnot.
What FLUF costs
Crosslisting and inventory sync are on every FLUF plan. Relisting, offer management and smart pricing come with the Pro plan and above, but FLUF offers none of them on StockX or Whatnot. You can start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month.
