Crosslist from Tilt to Whatnot — Automatically
Move your Tilt live-show inventory onto Whatnot in minutes, or bring Whatnot listings onto Tilt. FLUF Connect keeps stock in sync so a sale on one instantly clears the other.
- Tilt: UK-centred live-auction app for fashion, streetwear and collectibles. Real active-seller populations in the UK, Italy, the US, Spain and Poland. Fees from 2% + 50p.
- Whatnot: the much larger US-founded live-shopping marketplace, live for sellers in nine countries including the UK. $8bn+ GMV in 2025. UK fees run 6.67% + VAT commission plus payment processing.
- Fields that transfer automatically: title, description, photos, price (currency-converted), quantity, and condition/size/brand where set — both channels cap titles at 100 characters, so nothing gets an ugly last-minute truncation either way.
- Photos are re-uploaded, not linked: neither Tilt nor Whatnot will fetch a bare image URL. FLUF pulls each photo and uploads it into the destination’s own storage before the listing goes live.
- Inventory sync: detected Whatnot sales can remove the matching Tilt listing. Tilt sale detection needs additional verification on this workflow, so check Tilt sales and update sold items yourself.
- Neither channel supports FLUF’s auto-relisting or offer management — we’d rather say that plainly than let you find out the hard way.
- Cost: £1 for the first 7 days, then plans from £9/month (Starter). There is no free plan.

Why Sell on Both Tilt and Whatnot?
Tilt and Whatnot are the same idea — a countdown, a bid, a sale closed in seconds on live video — built on opposite sides of the Atlantic. Tilt’s seller base is concentrated in Britain; Whatnot’s is concentrated in the US but genuinely open to UK sellers too. If your stock suits live selling at all — streetwear, sneakers, vintage fashion, trading cards, collectibles — running both puts the same item in front of two audiences that barely overlap, on two different clocks, without doubling your photography or listing work.
The two apps are not close substitutes for each other. Tilt’s own seller page claims 1.2 million buyers and a UK-weighted audience; Whatnot reported $8 billion+ in GMV for 2025 and 20 million new accounts, with buyers averaging 95 minutes a day in the app globally (around 65 minutes in Europe). A trade publication comparing the two for UK resellers put it plainly: Whatnot has “a broader audience across multiple categories” while “Tilt is hyper-focused on targeting Gen Z consumers” in fashion. Dazed’s reporting on the two apps found the same split on the ground — Whatnot dominant in America, Tilt having captured a UK audience already active on Depop-style vintage platforms, with Tilt co-founder Abhi Thanendran noting Gen Z is “very used to these unique apps and experiences from online gaming and watching Twitch streams.”
That geography split is the actual case for crosslisting this specific pair, rather than picking one. A UK seller who only uses Whatnot is broadcasting into an audience whose peak hours are the UK’s small hours; a UK seller who only uses Tilt is capping their reach at a much smaller, newer platform. Running both means your evening Tilt show and an always-open Whatnot Marketplace listing are pulling from the same stock without you retyping either one.

How Products Move from Tilt to Whatnot with FLUF Connect
Use the FLUF browser extension to connect Tilt and Whatnot. Their browser requirements differ after setup:
- Connect FLUF Connect and sign up for the trial. £1 covers your first 7 days.
- Connect Tilt through the extension. Sign in to Tilt and follow the connection steps. You do not need to keep a Tilt tab open afterwards.
- Keep the extension active for Whatnot. Unlike Tilt, Whatnot needs the FLUF browser extension available and signed in for ongoing listing work, not just the initial connection.
- Import your Tilt listings. FLUF reads your existing Tilt catalogue into the dashboard, bulk or selective.
- Review the field mapping. Category resolution is the one step worth checking before you push in bulk — see the mapping section below for why.
- Select items and crosslist to Whatnot. Bulk-select or set an auto-crosslisting rule for new Tilt inventory.
- Publish to Whatnot. Check the listing status before submitting the same item again.
Tilt needs the extension during connection. Whatnot requires the extension to be available for publishing, so keep it connected when crosslisting.
What Transfers When You Crosslist from Tilt to Whatnot?
Both of these platforms build their own listing from scratch on push — neither is a “map a JSON blob and forward it” integration. Here is exactly what carries across and what needs your attention.
| Tilt field | Whatnot field | Transfer | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Title (100-char cap) | Title (100-char cap) | ✅ Automatic | A rare match — both channels cap titles at exactly 100 characters, so nothing gets re-truncated on the way across. |
| Description (free text) | Description (2,000-char cap) | ✅ Automatic | Tilt descriptions carry less weight since the live show does most of the persuading; Whatnot truncates anything over 2,000 characters. |
| Photos (up to 20, on Tilt’s own S3 bucket) | Photos (Whatnot’s own storage) | ✅ Automatic, but re-uploaded | Neither platform will fetch a bare image URL. FLUF downloads each photo and uploads it fresh into Whatnot’s storage — a listing built by a tool that only passes URLs across would publish with photos that never load. |
| Price (lives on the item’s SKU on Tilt) | Price (listing-level, in your Whatnot account’s currency) | ✅ Automatic | Converted to whatever currency your Whatnot seller account actually reports — not copied verbatim, which matters if your Tilt store and Whatnot account run in different currencies. |
| Category (Tilt’s own tree) | Category (Whatnot’s own tree) | ⚡ Mapped | A suitable category is required on both channels. Review it before publishing. |
| Condition | Condition (Whatnot attribute) | ⚡ Mapped where present | Read from your condition attribute where set, otherwise extracted from a “Condition:” line in the description if one exists. |
| Size / Brand | Size / Brand (Whatnot attributes) | ⚡ Mapped where present | Same tiered lookup as condition — attribute first, labelled text second. |
| Quantity | Quantity | ✅ Automatic | Defaults to 1 for single items. |
| Shipping (your Tilt profile) | Shipping (Whatnot’s own auto-selected profile) | ❌ Not transferred — opposite gates | Tilt needs a shipping profile you configure (managed only in GB/ES/IT); Whatnot auto-selects one from your item’s category and weight. Neither is copied from the other. |
| No equivalent | Offers (listings are offerable by default) | ⚠️ Whatnot-only | Whatnot marks every push as offerable to buyers by default. Tilt has no offers system of any kind — bids are the only price mechanism. |
Category Mapping — How It Actually Resolves
FLUF runs a category-mapping engine that converts your source category into the destination’s taxonomy automatically, rather than asking you to hand-pick a Whatnot category for every Tilt item. For the categories that dominate both platforms, that typically means: Tilt’s vintage and archive fashion resolves to Whatnot’s Women’s Fashion or general Clothing categories; Tilt’s streetwear and sneakers listings resolve to Whatnot’s Sneakers & Streetwear category; Tilt’s trading-card and collectibles stock resolves to Whatnot’s Trading Card Games or Sports Cards categories depending on the specific item. Neither platform publishes a public crosswalk between the two trees, so treat these as the typical outcome rather than a guarantee for every edge case — the review step in FLUF’s dashboard before a bulk push exists precisely so you can catch a wrong resolution before it goes live.
Fields That Need Your Attention
The three places this pair actually breaks:
- No resolvable category. Both channels refuse the listing outright rather than falling back to “Miscellaneous.” If a Tilt push to Whatnot fails with a category error, that’s almost always the cause.
- Review your Whatnot shipping profile. Enter the correct product weight and confirm postage before publishing.
- No Tilt shipping profile at all outside GB/ES/IT. If you’re crosslisting the other direction, or maintaining a Tilt listing from a US, Polish, French or Australian account, Tilt won’t accept the listing until you’ve configured your own shipping method — it has no managed option to fall back on there.
Inventory Sync Between Tilt and Whatnot — What Stays in Sync?
| Event | What happens | Timing / confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Item sells on Whatnot | Removed from Tilt automatically (mark_as_sold) | Established — Whatnot’s order sync has been road-tested across FLUF’s live seller base for months |
| Item sells on Tilt | Removed from Whatnot automatically, once Tilt’s order record confirms a successfully-paid sale | Automatic sale detection has not yet been verified for live sales on this workflow. Check Tilt sales and update sold items yourself. |
| Item sells on a third channel (Vinted, eBay, Depop, etc.) | Removed from both Tilt and Whatnot in the same fan-out | Standard cross-channel behaviour, not specific to this pair |
| Price changed on Tilt after the crosslist | Not pushed automatically to the live Whatnot listing | Re-crosslist or use a bulk price update to propagate a change |
| Description or photos edited after the crosslist | Not pushed automatically | Same as price — edits don’t silently propagate on either channel |
| Item deleted on Tilt | Left live on Whatnot until you act on it | Deletion is not treated the same as a sale |
Check sync status after a sale. Whatnot sales can update the corresponding Tilt listing; verify Tilt sales yourself and mark items sold in FLUF until automatic detection is confirmed for your workflow.
Crosslisting from Tilt to Whatnot: Before and After FLUF Connect
Without FLUF Connect (Manual)
- Open Tilt, find the listing, note the title, description, price and category
- Screenshot or re-save each photo (Tilt won’t give you a shareable image URL to reuse elsewhere)
- Open Whatnot, start a new Marketplace listing
- Re-type the title within Whatnot’s own 100-character limit
- Re-upload every photo one at a time
- Find the matching Whatnot category by hand — there’s no shared taxonomy to copy from
- Re-enter condition, size and brand as separate attribute fields
- Convert the price if your Tilt and Whatnot accounts run in different currencies
- Set or confirm a Whatnot shipping profile
- Publish, then note down somewhere that this item now exists in two places
- When it sells on either platform, manually go and delist it from the other
Time per item: roughly 8–12 minutes, and that’s before accounting for the mental overhead of tracking which items are live where.
With FLUF Connect
- Select Tilt items in the FLUF dashboard
- Click “Crosslist to Whatnot”
- Review the pre-resolved category and attribute mapping
- Confirm
- Done — inventory sync handles the rest
Time per item: well under a minute, and it doesn’t degrade as your catalogue grows — bulk-selecting 200 items costs the same clicks as bulk-selecting 20.
Automation Features for Tilt and Whatnot Sellers
FLUF’s automation is included from Seller upwards rather than sold as an add-on, but it’s worth being precise about what actually applies to this specific pair rather than what FLUF supports in general.
| Feature | Tilt | Whatnot |
|---|---|---|
| Crosslisting | ✅ | ✅ |
| Inventory sync (sold elsewhere → delisted here) | ✅ | ✅ |
| Order sync (view Whatnot & Tilt orders in the FLUF dashboard) | ✅ | ✅ |
| Mark-as-sold on a channel-specific sale | ✅ | ✅ |
| Auto-relisting | ❌ Not supported by Tilt’s API | ❌ Not supported by Whatnot’s API |
| Offer management (FLUF auto-responding to buyer offers) | ❌ No offers system on Tilt at all | ❌ Not exposed to FLUF, though Whatnot’s own listings are offerable by default |
| Bulk operations (price/description edits, bulk crosslist) | ✅ | ✅ |
| Auto-crosslisting rules for new inventory | ✅ | ✅ |
The honest takeaway: relisting and offer management, FLUF’s two most-used automation features on channels that support them, don’t apply here. Neither Tilt nor Whatnot’s own APIs expose either capability, so FLUF doesn’t pretend to have wired something that isn’t there. What you do get on this pair is the part that matters most for two live-selling apps specifically: bulk crosslisting so you can stock a Whatnot show from your entire Tilt catalogue in one pass, and inventory sync so a bid winner on one platform can’t buy the same item that just sold in your other stream.
How Much Does It Cost to Crosslist from Tilt to Whatnot?
FLUF Connect starts with £1 for your first 7 days, then runs on a monthly plan. There is no free plan.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | You save | Crosslisted products |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | £9/month | £59/year | 45% | Unlimited |
| Seller | £29/month | £199/year | 42% | Unlimited |
| Pro | £99/month | £709/year | 40% | Unlimited |
| Super Seller | Custom pricing — tell us what you need | Unlimited | ||
Automatic relisting, offer management and smart pricing are included from Seller upwards. Starter covers unlimited crosslisting, inventory sync and order sync without them. Yearly billing is charged once a year. There is no free plan. New accounts get 7 days for £1, then move onto a plan.
Every plan includes crosslisting, inventory sync, offer management on every channel that supports them — automation is part of the plan, not a separate purchase and it’s simply not something Tilt or Whatnot’s own APIs let any tool offer for those two specific features, and Seller and above add relisting. Connecting Tilt and Whatnot costs nothing beyond your plan; both marketplaces charge their own standard seller fees on anything you sell through them regardless of how the listing got there. Full plan details: pricing.
Already selling on Tilt or Whatnot? Connect both to FLUF Connect and let inventory sync stop you from selling the same item twice across two live shows.

Frequently Asked Questions
FLUF Connect starts at £1 for your first 7 days, then plans run from £9/month (Starter). There is no free plan. Crosslisting, inventory sync and bulk operations across both channels are included on every plan, not sold as add-ons.
Whatnot sales can update the matching Tilt listing. Tilt sale detection needs additional verification on this workflow, so check Tilt sales yourself and mark sold items in FLUF.
Yes. FLUF reads Tilt's order records, checks for a successfully-paid Stripe payment and a matching product ID, then withdraws the item from Whatnot and any other connected channel. An abandoned or failed Tilt payment does not trigger a delist, since only a completed sale counts.
Yes, automatically and within minutes. Whatnot's order sync and mark-as-sold flow are established parts of FLUF's integration, so a Whatnot sale reliably clears the same item from Tilt and every other connected channel.
No. Neither Tilt's nor Whatnot's own API exposes automated relisting or offer management, so FLUF does not offer either feature on these two channels. Both remain available on channels whose APIs support them — FLUF would rather say this plainly than let a seller find out by a feature silently not working.
Yes. Crosslisting only moves the listing — it doesn't change either platform's fee structure. Tilt charges sellers fees starting from 2% + 50p per sale. Whatnot charges roughly 8% commission plus 2.9% + $0.30 processing in the US, or 6.67% + VAT commission plus 2.42% + VAT processing plus £0.25 + VAT per order in the UK. FLUF's own subscription is separate from both.
Both platforms require photos to be uploaded directly into their own storage — neither will fetch a bare image URL. FLUF handles this automatically by downloading each photo and re-uploading it to the destination, but a crosslisting tool that only forwards image links will publish listings with photos that never load on either channel.
Partly. Tilt connects once through the FLUF browser extension, then every push, edit and delist runs on FLUF's servers with no browser needed. Whatnot is different: its bot protection means the extension has to execute every single push itself, so an active extension session is needed each time you crosslist to or edit a listing on Whatnot.
Tilt requires a shipping method on every listing before it will accept a push. Managed shipping only covers the UK, Spain and Italy — sellers in the US, Poland, France and Australia must configure a custom shipping profile in their Tilt account first. FLUF checks for this and will flag it rather than creating a listing no buyer could actually complete.
