Crosslisting from eBay.it to Subito: cash collection, fees and payouts
For private sellers in Italy who want local buyers for bulky stock. What each site charges the buyer, how you get paid, and what you still do by hand.
- If you sell as a private seller on eBay.it, you already pay no final value fee and no regulatory fee since 1 September 2026. Subito adds local buyers and takes no seller commission on TuttoSubito sales.
- Since the same date, eBay.it has stopped cash at collection for most items. On Subito, cash handed over in person is still an option.
- eBay.it keeps your takings in your Saldo eBay until you spend or withdraw them. TuttoSubito holds the money until the buyer confirms receipt.
- Subito never lets you change an ad’s category, region or province after it goes live.
- A sale on eBay.it does not end the Subito ad. You end it on Subito yourself. A Subito sale you mark as sold in FLUF Connect ends the eBay.it listing.
- 7 days for £1, then from £9/month, then plans from £9/month.
Who should add Subito to an eBay.it shop
This route suits you if you sell from Italy and some of your stock is heavy, low-priced and awkward to post. Wardrobes, prams, a dishwasher or a garden bench belong here. If your eBay.it buyers are mostly abroad, Subito adds little: anything sold through TuttoSubito must be available on Italian territory. eBay.it, by contrast, charges an Italian private seller nothing extra on eurozone and Swedish sales, and from 1.46% to 4.03% for other foreign destinations.
Subito reports 2.8 billion searches and more than 7 million app downloads in the last year, and it describes itself as Italy’s first re-commerce platform, according to a Casaleggio Associati study.

Collection in person: how eBay.it and Subito now differ
From 1 September 2026, eBay.it buyers who collect an item must pay with an approved electronic method. Cash at pickup survives only for vehicles, damaged motorbikes and some boat categories.
The eBay.it handover has its own routine. Buyers browsing pickup items on a map see roughly how far away you are, never your street. On the same help page, eBay asks you to add luogo e CAP to the listing, keep your full address back until the buyer has paid, and ask for the codice di ritiro at the door. That is a QR code or a 6-digit code. Scan it in the app under Ordini, or type it into Dettagli dell’ordine in Console venditori. The order then shows Ritirato, which protects you against an Oggetto non ricevuto claim. If the buyer never turns up, you have 30 days from the sale to cancel.
Subito keeps it simpler. Its advice page on secure payments lists cash in person among the payment methods you can use, and it suggests meeting in a crowded spot such as a piazza or shopping centre. Keep the conversation in the Subito chat until you meet.
A buyer who wants to inspect a sofa and pay on the doorstep can still do that through Subito. That makes a sensible split: parcels on eBay.it, and heavy collection-only pieces on both.
Returns differ as well. On eBay.it a buyer can open a return for a faulty or misdescribed item whatever your policy says. As a private seller who states no returns, you may refuse one where the item matches its description and the buyer has simply changed their mind.
What the buyer pays on each site
You keep the full price on both. The buyer pays the platform. On eBay.it, buyers from a private seller registered in Italy or France pay a Buyer Protection fee of €0.10 per item plus 7% up to €20, 4% from €20.01 to €300 and 2% from €300.01 to €4,000.
On TuttoSubito, the buyer pays €1.20 plus 5% up to €300, or €1.20 plus 4.5% above that, capped at €91.20. The percentage applies to the agreed price before shipping. A cash sale agreed through a Subito ad carries no Subito charge.
| Item and price | eBay.it buyer pays | TuttoSubito buyer pays | Cash on Subito |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toaster, €15 | €16.15 (€0.10 + €1.05) | €16.95 (€1.20 + €0.75) | €15.00 |
| Dining chairs, €60 | €63.10 (€0.10 + €1.40 + €1.60) | €64.20 (€1.20 + €3.00) | €60.00 |
| Road bicycle, €250 | €260.70 (€0.10 + €1.40 + €9.20) | €263.70 (€1.20 + €12.50) | €250.00 |
On eBay.it, private sellers get 150 free insertions a month, then pay €0.35 each. Subito sets free-ad thresholds by category instead. In Abbigliamento e Accessori, up to 45 ads cost nothing to post, and Subito tells you when you reach the threshold.
How the money reaches you
On eBay.it, a private seller’s proceeds stay in the Saldo eBay until you spend or withdraw them. Funds usually become available within 24 hours of the buyer’s payment. You then choose Prelievo, and your bank may take 1 to 2 working days. New eBay.it accounts can see a hold first: some new private sellers wait until 24 hours after delivery is confirmed, or 14 days after payment without tracking, so upload the codice della spedizione early. Private sellers with 10 completed sales, a cumulative total above €150 and no more than 2 open disputes in 12 months move to a 48-hour release.
You can spend the Saldo eBay on shipping labels or selling costs. After 365 days without activity, eBay moves the balance to your linked bank account.
TuttoSubito pays out on confirmation. The buyer checks the parcel and taps Conferma ricezione. If they never press it, Subito releases the payment 3 days after the delivery notice when you shipped with TuttoSubito. You must ship within 6 days of the buyer’s payment, and payouts go to a bank account or PayPal.
Subito ad rules an eBay.it seller will notice
On eBay.it you can revise a live listing. On Subito, email, region, province, category, ad type and the private or business flag cannot be edited after publishing. Check the category and your town on the first Subito ad you post from FLUF Connect before you send the rest.
When you connect Subito in FLUF Connect, you enter the phone number and town that your Subito ads will carry.
What FLUF Connect does on this route
FLUF Connect brings in the listings you already have on eBay.it and posts them as Subito ads from the same dashboard. Here is what happens after a sale, and which extras apply to each side.
| What happens | eBay.it | Subito |
|---|---|---|
| FLUF notices a sale on this site | Yes | No: mark it sold in FLUF |
| FLUF ends the listing here when the item sold elsewhere | Yes | No: end the ad on Subito |
| Relisting (plans above Starter) | Yes | No |
| Offer management (plans above Starter) | Yes | No |
In practice there are two cases. A buyer pays on eBay.it: go to Subito and end that ad yourself. A buyer collects from you through Subito: mark the product sold in FLUF Connect, and the eBay.it listing ends.
FLUF Connect works with 51 marketplaces. Starter costs £9/month with unlimited listings.
| Plan | Monthly | Crosslisted products |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | £9/month | Unlimited |
| Seller | £29/month | Unlimited |
| Pro | £99/month | Unlimited |
| Super Seller | Custom pricing — tell us what you need | Unlimited |
