Crosslist from Squarespace to TikTok Shop: Sell Your Store’s Products Inside TikTok
Which Squarespace plans can connect, what TikTok Shop UK charges, and what FLUF Connect does when a product sells on either side.
- For UK brands and makers with a Squarespace store who want their products buyable inside TikTok Shop.
- You need a Squarespace plan that includes third-party integrations. Squarespace’s pricing page shows them on Core and Advanced, and not on Basic.
- TikTok Shop UK takes 9% commission including VAT. There is no monthly fee.
- A TikTok Shop order takes the product off your Squarespace store. A Squarespace order is not seen by FLUF Connect, so you record it yourself.
- FLUF Connect costs 7 days for £1, then from £9/month.
Is this route for you?
It suits a small UK business with a tidy Squarespace catalogue of physical products: candles, prints, jewellery, skincare, clothing you make or design. You probably post on TikTok already and answer “where can I buy this?” in the comments.
It does not suit sellers outside the UK, because FLUF’s TikTok Shop connection covers the United Kingdom only. It does not suit stores selling services, bookings or digital downloads either. TikTok Shop’s standard UK model is “Local to Local”: a package shipped from and delivered to a customer within the UK.
Two very different places to sell
A Squarespace store has no passing trade. Every visitor came from your own Instagram, newsletter, search ranking or ad. In return you keep the customer’s email address and pay no marketplace commission.
TikTok Shop is the reverse. The audience is already there, watching videos, and the checkout happens in the app. You pay commission on each order and the customer belongs to TikTok. Most small brands want both: the store for regulars, TikTok Shop for strangers.
What each one costs per sale
Squarespace charges its own transaction fee only on its cheapest plan. The pricing page lists an online store transaction fee of 2% on Basic and 0% on Core and Advanced. Card processing is charged on top by whichever payment provider you use, at rates that vary by plan.
TikTok Shop UK charges 9% inclusive of VAT. The percentage applies to the item price plus any shipping the customer pays, and it is deducted from your settlement.
Take a £30 candle set with £3.50 postage paid by the customer. On TikTok Shop the commission is 9% of £33.50, which is £3.02. You are left with £30.48 before you buy the postage. On a Squarespace Core plan the same order carries no Squarespace transaction fee, only your card processor’s charge.
TikTok also lets you pay creators. Its fee guide shows affiliate commission as a separate deduction on orders that come through a creator’s video, at a rate you choose. If creators are part of your plan, put that cost into the price.
What TikTok Shop asks for that a Squarespace product does not
- Registration as a business. TikTok accepts Sole Traders and Corporate Sellers and asks for your details and documents when you apply. Squarespace asked for none of that.
- A probation period. All new TikTok Shop sellers begin in a Shop Probation Period. Start with your best sellers while the limits apply.
- Physical, shippable stock held in the UK. Gift cards, downloads and appointments in your Squarespace catalogue should stay there.
- Listings that stand alone. Your Squarespace product page leans on your site’s design and your brand story. A TikTok Shop listing is read cold, in an app, by someone who has never heard of you. Say what it is, what size it is and what it is made of.
- Video. Products sell through clips and live streams. A listing nobody films rarely moves.
Setting it up in FLUF Connect
- Check your Squarespace plan includes integrations, then create a connection key for FLUF in your Squarespace settings.
- In FLUF, open Channels, choose Squarespace and paste it in. FLUF imports your catalogue.
- Choose TikTok Shop on the Channels screen and connect your shop. No browser extension is needed.
- Pick the products you want on TikTok Shop and crosslist them.
- Open TikTok Seller Centre and read each listing as a stranger would before you promote it.
FLUF handles listings and stock. It does not post videos, run ads or manage creators for you.

What happens after a sale
| Squarespace | TikTok Shop | |
|---|---|---|
| Import your existing catalogue | Yes | Yes |
| Create listings and update price and stock from FLUF | Yes | Yes |
| Item sells here | FLUF does not see it. Mark the item sold in FLUF and TikTok Shop stock is lowered. | FLUF sees the order, sets Squarespace stock to zero and hides the product. |
| Relisting and offer management | No | No |
For a maker with twenty of each candle, the Squarespace gap is a small chore each evening. For one-off pieces it matters more. A print that sells on your own site stays live on TikTok Shop until you record the sale in FLUF, so do that before you pack the order.
