An attractive cavity specimen covered with numerous pale honey-yellow to cream Chabazite crystals on contrasting dark gray-brown volcanic matrix. The crystals display the characteristic blocky rhombohedral to pseudocubic appearance of Chabazite, with translucent interiors and a soft vitreous luster. Several crystals are particularly well developed around the open central cavity.

Chabazite is a hydrated calcium-rich aluminosilicate belonging to the zeolite group. It typically develops in cavities within volcanic rocks as mineral-rich fluids alter the host rock and deposit zeolites. Chabazite is particularly recognizable for its rhombohedral crystals and frequent twinning, which can give the crystals a deceptively cubic appearance.
