Crosslist from Shopify to Trendyol — take a DTC catalogue into Turkey’s largest marketplace
Three ways into Trendyol from abroad, the customs change that ended parcel-by-parcel imports, what it costs in lira, and which direction FLUF Connect keeps in sync today.
- Three doors into Trendyol from abroad, leading to different shops. A Turkish legal entity gets you trendyol.com. An EU VAT number gets you the German and Central European storefronts. A Gulf trade licence gets you the UAE and Saudi sites.
- Turkey stopped waving small parcels through in February 2026. The simplified customs route for low-value imports was abolished by decree, so single orders posted into Turkey now clear standard customs. Foreign brands hold stock in Turkey instead.
- Commission is quoted with Turkish VAT inside it. Published 2026 tables run from about 5% to 27% by category, clothing near 21.4% and shoes near 23.4%, plus a platform service fee of 10.99 lira plus VAT per order.
- You are paid in lira, on a category delay. Payouts run Wednesday to Thursday once a category’s maturity period has passed after delivery, and a sterling or euro brand carries the exchange movement for that interval.
- The barcode is the product. Trendyol keys every variant to a barcode of at least 13 characters and FLUF Connect uses it as the listing’s stable identity. Shopify’s barcode field is optional, so fill it first.
- Sale detection from Trendyol is not live yet. A Shopify sale zeroes the Trendyol quantity within minutes; a Trendyol sale you mark sold in FLUF yourself, and the other channels follow.
- Through FLUF Connect: one Shopify catalogue, 51 marketplaces, Trendyol connected with no browser extension. 7 days for £1, then from £9/month, then plans from £9/month.

Which Trendyol you can actually sell on from abroad
From outside Turkey, Trendyol is three marketplaces, and the paperwork decides which one you get.
Door one: trendyol.com, the domestic Turkish site. This is the shop with the scale: Trendyol holds an estimated 34 to 40% of Turkish e-commerce and Tradebyte, one of its official integration partners, quotes more than 40 million active shoppers. Opening a seller account here requires a Turkish tax identification number, and for a foreign company that means an apostilled or notarised company registration with a Turkish translation, a local authorised representative, and a Turkish bank account or a payment intermediary that can receive lira, according to a Turkish fulfilment provider’s onboarding summary. UK, German and Gulf brands usually do this through a Turkish subsidiary or a distributor holding the account.
Door two: Trendyol’s European storefronts. Trendyol opened its first office outside Turkey in Germany in 2022 and added Czechia, Greece, Hungary and Romania in 2024. A brand with a valid European VAT number can apply for these directly through the partner onboarding form, choosing the Europe region; approval typically takes three to seven business days and there is no setup or monthly fee, only category commission. The developer documentation lists the storefront codes you will be trading under: DE, GR, SK, RO, CZ and BG for Europe, each with its own permitted VAT rates.
Door three: the Gulf. Trendyol launched in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar in August 2023. The same onboarding form has a Gulf option; the requirements are a business licence, a VAT number and bank details, and the storefront codes are SA, AE and KW.
Doors two and three do not give you the Turkish buyer. If the point is Turkey, you need door one, and everything below about customs, lira and Turkish text applies to you.
FLUF Connect stores the storefront code with your Trendyol credentials and sends it as a header on every request, and its local copy of the category tree is keyed by storefront and category ID together, so a German-storefront leaf is never mistaken for a Turkish one.
Getting goods into Turkey after the February 2026 customs change
Until early 2026 a foreign seller could post individual orders into Turkey under a simplified electronic customs declaration with a low duty-free threshold and a flat duty above it. A presidential decree published on 7 January 2026 removed the 30-euro duty-free allowance for goods bought abroad and delivered by post or express courier, taking effect a month later. Under the flat scheme those parcels had faced duty of 30% if the goods were EU-origin and 60% otherwise, with a further 20% on certain goods; the decree replaces the simplified route with standard customs procedures.
Cross-border fulfilment of single Trendyol orders from a UK or German warehouse is therefore slow and unpredictable at delivery, and Trendyol’s ranking already favoured same-day and next-day dispatch. The model that works is the one Turkish integrators recommend: import stock commercially into Turkey in bulk, hold it at a fulfilment address inside the country, and ship domestically. Your Turkish entity or distributor is the importer of record and your listings then behave like any local seller’s.
For Shopify this means a separate location. Sync one global quantity and a sale in Manchester decrements a Turkish listing that was never going to ship from Manchester. Create a Turkish location in Shopify and treat it as the pool Trendyol draws from.
Brand authorisation and category approval
Trendyol requires a recognised brand. Confirm that your brand is available on Trendyol before crosslisting.
Trendyol accepts a Turkish trademark registration certificate for your own brand, or a brand authorisation letter (yetki belgesi) or supplier invoice if you are selling someone else’s, and reviews the document within three business days, giving 48 hours to correct a faulty one before listings are pulled. The catch for a foreign brand is that a trademark registered in the UK or EU is not automatically protected in Turkey; you register separately with TÜRKPATENT or designate Turkey under the Madrid Protocol, and only then upload the certificate. Start this first; it is the slowest item on the list.
Approval is also per category. The same certificate has to be uploaded again for each category you want to list in, and each starts its own review.
What Trendyol takes: commission bands, service fees, export fee
Trendyol publishes no single public rate card; the binding rate sits on the agreement information screen in your panel and varies by sub-category, brand, seller level and campaign period, as Paraşüt’s 2026 commission guide notes. The figures below are the 2026 category table as reported by Sentos, updated 27 July 2026. They are quoted with 20% Turkish VAT included, and Trendyol calculates the commission on the VAT-exclusive selling price.
| Category | 2026 commission (VAT inclusive) | Note for a foreign brand |
|---|---|---|
| Smartphones | 7.00% | Electronics needs Turkish type approval before listing |
| Televisions | 8.00% | Bulky; desi-based cargo dominates the cost |
| White goods | 11.00% | As above |
| Clothing and textiles | 21.36% | Where most Shopify DTC brands land |
| Shoes | 23.39% | Higher than clothing; returns are heavy |
| Phone spare parts | 27.00% | Top of the published range; digital gift cards sit at the bottom on 5.00% |
The table changed on 1 January 2026, and the rate applied to an order is the one in force on the order date, so a December order settles at the December rate even when the January table has moved. Some sub-categories now carry dynamic rates during campaign weeks, according to Dopigo’s 2026 overview.
Seller level moves the rate too. Trendyol grades stores from Seviye 1 to Seviye 5 on net revenue and order count over the previous 180 days, and Seviye 4 and 5 stores are offered category- and brand-specific commission rates that differ from the standard table, so a brand launching through a distributor’s established account may not pay the same rate as a fresh subsidiary.
Commission is not the only deduction. Trendyol charges a platform service fee per order: from 30 January 2026 it is 10.99 lira plus VAT, or 6.99 lira plus VAT if the product carries the same-day dispatch label and the order actually leaves the same day. The fee is not charged on return shipments. Trendyol’s own page is in its seller information centre.
If your Turkish entity also uses Trendyol’s micro-export programme to sell out of Turkey to the Gulf, Azerbaijan or Central and Eastern Europe, a separate international service fee of 6% including VAT applies to every micro-export order from 30 January 2026, calculated on the discounted sale price and waived on cancellations and returns. For a UK brand this is the mirror image of the usual story: Turkish stock becomes the base for reaching Trendyol’s export storefronts, and this fee is the price of that reach.
Payouts in lira, and the exchange exposure you inherit
Trendyol pays in Turkish lira into a Turkish account. The cycle is weekly: the amount due is calculated at 10:00 on Wednesday and paid on Thursday, and an order only enters that calculation once it has been delivered and the maturity period for its category has expired. Maturity periods differ by category and some run to 28 business days after delivery, so a fashion sale can take roughly six weeks from dispatch to cleared lira.
If your costs are in sterling or euros but you sell in lira, exchange-rate changes affect your margin. Review your Trendyol prices regularly and update them in FLUF Connect when needed.
One detail on VAT. Turkey’s standard rate is 20%, but the German storefront accepts 0, 7 or 19. FLUF Connect sends a vatRate with every Trendyol product, defaulting to 20 unless you set a different rate on the connection, so if you are listing on a non-Turkish storefront set it once at connection time and not per product.
Trendyol Express or your own carrier
Trendyol runs its own network, Trendyol Express, alongside contracted rates with PTT, Aras, Sürat and Yurtiçi. Shipping is charged by desi, a volumetric unit, and the tariff moves several times a year. Dopigo’s copy of the 1 January 2026 tariff priced a 0 to 2 desi parcel at 77.54 lira excluding VAT with Trendyol Express or PTT, 83.93 with Aras, 89.71 with Sürat and 112.77 with Yurtiçi; by the 10 August 2026 update the Trendyol Express rate for the same band had risen to 81.95 lira.
Two things matter more than the exact numbers. Small orders are subsidised through a tiered scheme (the barem): orders under 150 lira ship for 34.16 lira and orders between 150 and 299.99 lira for 65.83 lira with Trendyol Express or PTT, and above 300 lira the full contracted list applies. And Trendyol Express is the carrier most tightly tied to the same-day dispatch label that lowers the platform service fee, so for a brand fulfilling from a Turkish 3PL it is usually the default; a seller-arranged carrier contract only wins at volumes where you can beat Trendyol’s pooled rates.
Listing standards: barcode, photographs, Turkish text
The barcode. Add the correct barcode to every Shopify product variant before crosslisting to Trendyol. Use manufacturer GTINs where applicable and check Trendyol’s barcode requirements. Barcodes cannot be changed in place after approval, so review them carefully before publishing.
Photographs. The API accepts up to 8 images per product, and the seller guidance summarised by Turkish product photographers is 1200 by 1800 pixels in a 2:3 portrait ratio, minimum 600 by 800, JPG preferred, under 10 MB, with a plain white background and no text or logos on the main image. Trendyol’s own listing rules are on its seller information centre. Shopify’s square lifestyle imagery is the usual casualty. Choose up to eight suitable photos and put the portrait white-background shot first.
Text. Titles are capped at 100 characters and descriptions at 30,000, and both should be in Turkish. Integrators who onboard foreign brands describe Turkish-language titles and descriptions as a requirement rather than a nicety. Shopify’s Translate and Adapt app can hold a Turkish version of each product alongside the English one; FLUF Connect trims whatever title and description it is given to Trendyol’s limits and strips HTML from the title, but it does not translate.
Sizes. Trendyol uses category-specific size options. Check the destination size before publishing, especially when your Shopify store uses UK or US sizing.
Attributes. Trendyol requires different product details for each category. Review any missing required fields in FLUF Connect and complete them before publishing.
Ratings, reviews and the seller score
Product reviews (yorumlar) sit on the product card and are shared across every seller of that barcode, so a strong review history on your own Shopify site does not transfer and a slow start on Trendyol shows. The seller score is separate: it is calculated from the last one to three months of operational data, refreshed weekly, and starts after the first 20 orders and one month of trading, weighing dispatch speed, cancellations for stock you could not supply, return handling time, complaint rate and how quickly you answer product questions. Scores of 9 and above show green, 8 to 9 orange and below 8 red, and red suppresses both visibility and conversion.
Turkish shoppers also filter by fotoğraflı yorumlar, photo reviews, and read the seller’s answers on the soru-cevap tab before buying, so a foreign brand that leaves questions unanswered in English, or answers them late from a UK time zone, loses on both the review count and the question-response metric. Give the Turkish 3PL or distributor panel access to answer sorular during Turkish office hours.
Two of those inputs are inventory accuracy: a cancellation because the item had already sold on Shopify counts against you, and a listing left at zero costs you the buy box. The sync below exists for both.

What syncs, and the direction that does not yet
Shopify sales update availability on connected Trendyol listings when a variant sells out.
| Event | What happens on Trendyol | How |
|---|---|---|
| Item sells on Shopify | Quantity set to zero | Stock updated automatically |
| Shopify quantity edited | Trendyol quantity revised | Stock updated automatically |
| Price changed in FLUF | Trendyol price updated | Price updates supported |
| Title or description edited in FLUF | Trendyol content updated | Content updates supported; allow time to complete |
| Item archived in Shopify | Removed from Trendyol | Quantity zero |
| Item deleted from FLUF | Quantity set to zero | Trendyol cannot always delete a newly approved product synchronously, so zero stock is the removal |
| Item sells on Trendyol | Not detected by FLUF yet | You mark it sold in FLUF; Shopify and other channels then update |
Trendyol sales do not currently update your other channels automatically. Check Trendyol orders and mark sold items in FLUF Connect yourself.
Large batches can take time to publish. Follow progress in FLUF Connect and correct any reported listing issues. If a listing’s status is unclear, check Trendyol before trying again.
Relisting, offer management and smart pricing do not apply on Trendyol, where listings do not expire and there is no offer mechanism; they come with the plans above Starter and work on channels such as eBay.
Setting it up, step by step
- Choose the door and apply through the partner form.
- Start the brand paperwork. TÜRKPATENT registration or Madrid designation, then upload the certificate per category.
- Put stock in Turkey and create a matching Shopify location.
- Fix the Shopify data. Barcode on every variant, a portrait white-background first image, Turkish title and description, weight in a form you can convert to desi.
- Connect Shopify to FLUF Connect from the channels screen, then import your catalogue.
- Connect Trendyol. In the partner panel, the master user can find the Seller ID, API key and API secret under account and integration information. Enter those credentials, your storefront code and VAT rate in FLUF Connect.
- Sync the category tree for the storefront, then map your Shopify product types to Trendyol leaf categories and check the required attributes.
- Crosslist a handful first. Watch the batch result, then confirm title, images, category, brand, VAT, price, quantity and approval in the partner panel.
- Roll out in bulk with your Turkish 3PL on Trendyol Express and the same-day dispatch label.
What it costs
7 days for £1, then from £9/month, then plans from £9/month. Starter includes crosslisting, inventory sync, order sync and bulk operations across all 51 channels with unlimited listings, and Trendyol needs nothing beyond that. Relisting, offer management and smart pricing come with the plans above Starter, and none of the three applies to Trendyol. Trendyol itself charges no listing or monthly fee; its cost is the commission, service fee and cargo set out above.
If Poland is also on the map, the route to Allegro has a different gate and is covered in the Shopify to Allegro guide.

What we could not verify. Trendyol’s seller information centre pages render only in a logged-in browser, so the service fee, listing rule and payout figures are taken from Turkish integrator and accounting-software reports of those pages; check them against your own panel. The category commission rates are a July 2026 third-party compilation, not an official table. The per-category payout maturity periods could not be confirmed in full from Trendyol directly. The documents Trendyol requires from a non-Turkish company opening a trendyol.com account come from a Turkish fulfilment provider’s summary, not a Trendyol page. Market share and shopper figures are as reported by Lengow and Tradebyte, not audited by Trendyol.

Frequently Asked Questions
Not on trendyol.com itself. The domestic Turkish site requires a Turkish tax number, which for a foreign company means an apostilled registration, a local representative and a lira bank account, so most brands go in through a Turkish subsidiary or a distributor. A company with an EU VAT number can apply directly for Trendyol’s German and Central European storefronts, and a Gulf trade licence opens the Saudi and UAE sites. Those storefronts do not reach Turkish buyers, though, so decide which shopper you actually want first.
You can, but since February 2026 it is rarely worth it. Turkey abolished the 30-euro duty-free allowance and the simplified customs route for posted e-commerce parcels by presidential decree in January 2026, so single orders now clear standard customs and arrive late and unpredictably. Trendyol’s ranking also favours same-day and next-day dispatch. The working model is to import stock in bulk through your Turkish entity, hold it at a Turkish fulfilment address, and ship domestically with Trendyol Express or a contracted carrier.
Published 2026 tables put clothing and textiles at about 21.36% and shoes at about 23.39%, quoted with Turkish VAT included and calculated on the VAT-exclusive price, with a per-order platform service fee of 10.99 lira plus VAT, or 6.99 lira plus VAT if you use the same-day dispatch label. Trendyol does not publish one official rate card; the rate that binds you is on the agreement information screen in your seller panel and varies by sub-category, brand and seller level.
Trendyol requires a barcode for each product variant. Check and complete the barcode field on every Shopify variant before crosslisting, and use the correct manufacturer GTIN where applicable.
Not yet in both directions. Shopify sales update Trendyol stock automatically. For a Trendyol sale, mark the item sold in FLUF Connect yourself so your other connected listings can be updated.
For trendyol.com, yes in practice. The buyer base is domestic, and the integrators who onboard foreign brands treat Turkish titles and descriptions as a requirement. Titles are capped at 100 characters and descriptions at 30,000. FLUF Connect trims to those limits and strips tags from the title but does not translate, so hold a Turkish version of each product in Shopify, for example with the Translate and Adapt app, and send that one to Trendyol.
Trendyol pays in Turkish lira into a Turkish account, calculated on Wednesdays and paid on Thursdays once an order has been delivered and its category’s maturity period has passed, which for some categories is 28 business days. A sterling or euro brand carries the lira’s movement for that whole interval. Repricing frequently is the usual answer; FLUF Connect pushes a new price to Trendyol through a lightweight price-and-inventory call, so a catalogue-wide reprice does not mean resubmitting products.
Trendyol is one of FLUF Connect’s supported channels and requires no browser extension. Connect it with the Seller ID, API key and API secret from your seller account. Crosslisting and bulk operations are available on Starter. Relisting, offer management and smart pricing are not supported on Trendyol.
