The art was selected by Disney artists directly from the original animation drawings used to produce the film, with the master print used as the color guide. The cel was produced by the Chicago Serigraphic Workshop using eighteen separate screens — one per color — printed one at a time to achieve the hand-crafted quality of an original animation cel. The silkscreens were destroyed upon completion of the edition, as is standard practice in fine art printmaking. Each cel in the edition bears the official Walt Disney Company seal.
