Vintage 1960s Blue White Textured A Line Mini Dress UK 6

A fabulous vintage 1960s mini dress in bright turquoise blue and white, with the most brilliant raised textured pattern running across the whole thing.

The shape is classic 60s: neat little round neckline, short sleeves, fitted through the waist then opening into an A line skirt. The front has decorative covered buttons made in the same textured fabric, which are such a good detail. There’s a concealed opening inside for getting it on and off, and the dress is lined.

The white raised threads sit over that gorgeous bright blue ground and give the fabric loads of dimension rather than looking like a flat print.

Based on the measurements, I would place this around a modern UK 6. The 28" garment waist is the limiting measurement, so I wouldn’t size it up despite the 32" pit to pit circumference.
