This is a documented Joseph Maxwell limited edition. Path Through Ripe Corn was produced in an edition of only 250 signed and numbered examples.

The print has wonderful soft mauve, lavender, pink and blue tones depicting a pathway through a ripe cornfield towards trees and buildings, characteristic of Maxwell’s atmospheric Scottish landscapes.

Joseph Maxwell studied at Edinburgh College of Art and became a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW). His work has been exhibited widely and examples continue to appear at UK fine-art auctions.

The original backing, hanging wire and labels remain present.
